Orfite is an independent company founded in 1992 by Daniel Janin, who was its President until 2010, when Pascal Sochet succeeded him as President, until 2018.

Since the end of July 2018, the management of Orfite has taken a new form, being organized around a Supervisory Board (chaired by Daniel Janin) and a Management Board (comprising 4 members and chaired by Frédéric Daufresne).

This recent evolution of governance has been made possible thanks to the increasing participation, desired by Daniel Janin, of a team being part of the company for many years and able to continue developing Orfite, while respecting its entrepreneurial roots.
The mode of governance is thus collegial. Its members meet weekly, with the occasional participation of external auditors.

Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board controls the most strategic decisions while also supporting the management Board, in particular thanks to the great experience of its component members.

Management Board

The Management Board is a collective body which takes all the decisions relating to the life of Orfite.

All of Orfite’s staff members share enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. They have left their position at large banks or renowned auditing firms to invest in innovative and strong projects. Orfite’s partners have an “entrepreneurial” approach: commitment, branching out, innovation and development.

Each associate is responsible for several companies that he/she supports in a personalised and expert manner throughout the process of transfer and growth.

The creation of Orfite

Orfite is first and foremost a story of promising companies and enthusiastic managers, the first of whom was Daniel Janin, its founder and the current chairman of the Supervisory Board. Janin’s long career in banking means he knows companies from the inside and is enthusiastic about assisting with their development. The acquisition of the company EuroCave in 1992 was the first transaction for what would become Orfite, a company dedicated to the transfer of the finest assets of the French economy. Twenty-five years later, Orfite had implemented more than 50 transfers of capital, supported as many managers and brought together some 70 investors who are themselves entrepreneurs.
